Try as they might, the more obscure Baroque Composers such as Zani rarely match the innovation of the god Vivaldi with their 'adaptions'. Concerto #2 in A minor however, is a worthy gem for the Canon of Cello Concerti. Rummel is masterful in his playing. But modern instruments give this Recording a certain 'sterility' of sound. Producers must be made to understand that Period Music was not intended for homogenous instruments.
