Its a good hard drive. I installed it into my 120GB Zune around a week ago to replace a failed clicking hard-drive. It all seems to be running good , was pretty easy to get the firmware on it as soon as i got the ZIF cable plugged it. When i got my hardrive the anti static bag was unsealed. So i had my doubts as to if it was a new or used hard drive. It was also missing a cover plate which my original hard drive had. i opted to remove this plate off my old drive and pop it on my new one. The plastic connector that locks in the ZIF cable had broken off.i clicked it back in place with a screw driver. no major problem. There was a sticker with 'warranty void if removed' on the drive , but there is something written in black marker under this. i'm not sure what it says , it's anyone's guess , but this also made me doubt the condition of the item.Read full review
Bought this as a replacement and it's works really well. The only problem that I has with this hard drive is that it had a password on it. It was listed as new but it wasn't too hard to remove the password. Overall the hard drive has been working good. I've has no problems saving music on to it. Transfer rates are as fast as the one I had previously removed from my iPod. It was worth the money.
I purchased this drive to replace the original 80gb HDD in my wife's 4-year old original Rev A MacBook, which is known for early HDD failure. This drive is designed for Apple (has Apple logo on it) and works perfectly for that purpose. I contemplated upgrading to an SSD, but figured a new computer would make more sense with that much cost. The original drive is 4200 rpm, so I was afraid the slower 3600 rpm would impact performance, but the higher drive density seems to offset that; overall, performance is back to like when the Air was new. All-in-all, a good budget investment to get increased storage and a few more years out of an old computer.
I bought this hard drive to go into a 120 gb ipod classic. This hard drive was the same size as the one that needed to be replaced, it was an exact fit. This drive was also the cheapest that I could find and it was brand new!
I bought it to replace a dead 120 gb zune hard drive. I like the fact that it is a 120GB hard drive. The product is unique and works well in Zune. I will buy another one soon to replace another Zune hard drive. I use Zune to listen to classical music and watch operas.
