I LOVED this series!!! Watching the DVD takes me back to my childhood watching it first run on TV!!!! I loved London (the GSD). Actually the DVD is even better, since it shows them in color---we had only a 1950's Black and White TV. According to the opening notation, although filmed in color, it was originally aired in only B/W! I highly recommend!!! NOTE: This DVD is 'Volume 1', but I don't see 'Volume 2' listed!!! I would LOVE to get The Littlest Hobo TV Series Collection Volume 2 (Volume TWO)!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this collection of the original "Littlest Hobo" TV series out of pure nostalgia. The individual stories themselves are pretty well written. Just wish they were an hour long versus 1/2 hour, but perhaps that would have been asking a bit too much of the talented German Shepard, London.

The best dog series in my opinion done for television, highly entertaining and what a personality of a dog. This dog reminds me so much of a Dog I had that had a similar personality and great communication skills. I loved this series and I highly recommend it.. 5 stars all the way....
The only reason why I did not rate this poorly is because I did not research this more. I was highly disappointed to find that half of this DVD was black and white, and the original series ( not the classic " There's a voice...." of what I know and love.) The DVD is good otherwise, but not what I wanted...
