I bought this because the power connectors on both of my Garmin's failed from over use. Dislike; the TomTom Language interpretation is poor. Doesn't pronounce street names correctly. Pronounces the number "0" as "west" as in freeway 101 is said " Freeway one west one". I rely on the vocal cues since I am trying to keep my eyes on the road. Also does not give sufficient warning before making turns. (No officer, I wasn't driving too fast my GPS was too slow) The library of places doesn't cover most of the places I have been looking for. Acceptable and likes: The screen resolution is OK. Day/Night screen change is OK as well. The touch screen functions properly. The one thing I do like about this is the windshield mount. I prefer the TomTom mount over the Garmin set it on top of the dash type of mount. The Garmin's that I have are the mount on top of the dash type. The windshield mount provides a lot more flexibility. I also like the search format for address/street. It does a pretty good job of bringing up the right city after a few keystrokes, same goes for the street names. The touch screen keyboard is large and easy to use. I haven't opted for the traffic re-router feature so I can't comment on it. I tried to interface with the website but lost patience with the whole thing after it wouldn't work after a few tries. You're supposed to get the latest updates and download it directly into the unit. I'll try again when I have more time. Heck, I think I've spent more time writing this review than I spent on trying to get the device to work with the website. In summary; It plots the route out ok, and gets you there but it doesn't hold a candle to the Garmin when it comes to language interpretation, places of interest library and the screen utilization with reference to forewarning before turns and street details. You get what you pay for. It's a good enough value if you need a navigational aid, don't mind interpreting the verbal output and don't need to look up too many places of interest. You may have a better tolerance or ability for language interpretation. And this might be a great tool for you. IMHO it is worth what I paid for it.Read full review
I love Tom Tom gps better than any other brands I’ve tried. I like the features and the ease of setting it up.

We bought this instead of buying new maps for our old one, we could get a bigger screen more features and we did this for the same amount as maps. We used t his for the first time and we are very pleased with it in all ways, it is taking us some time to get used to the distance as we get close to the turns but it will come in time. Very happy with our GPS.

Love my Tom Tom. Great for the price and gets me where I need to go without any problem. I do not use all the time but when I do need to get to where I have never been it is absolutely the real thing to getting me their. My tenant even uses it when I am not and she loves it also cause she is not familiar with the area.
