The dial on the gauge is clear and easy to read and finish on the stainless steel bezel of the thermometer is quite nice. The gauge is prone to moisture ingress which clouds the inside of the lens. It is also less accurate than seller claims. I calibrated it as being 8degC too high at 100degC (boiling water) measured against a digital instant read thermometer. Given bbq sees temperatures up to and over 200degC, you'll need to account 15-20degC for the error. If all you are after is an indication only of temperature then this will work for you.
