Author Biography
Sunni Morris, the eldest of seven, was born in Houston, Texas, but raised south of there on a cotton farm. Childhood years consisted of rough times with barely enough to get by. Sunni's spare time was spent drawing or telling stories to her siblings. During her school years, she excelled in art eventually leading to some paintings hanging in galleries. The author became interested in fairy tales as a child and escaped her life in these stories about damsels in distress being rescued by brave knights in shining armor. These stories seemed to echo in her soul with dangers, conflicts, and a happy ending. A fantasy world where talking animals reside was another happy place, and she found herself writing her own short stories where these brave characters would pop into her head. As an adult, she took classes on writing and joined a writers group with thoughts of writing a book about growing up on the cotton farm. Since then, she's written numerous fairy tales and fantasy short stories and two self published fantasy novels. When it comes to writing, many ideas come from her knowledge of living and spending time in several states, meeting different people who have crossed her path, and her understanding of ancient times, as well as her love for the fantasy tale. Characters bloom in her mind in unbelievable dreams and move the author's spirit to tell their stories. The author never has let her hearing disability stand in her way as she pursues her writing career and other endeavors, even once taking a fencing class for novel research. A dream was the inspiration for SAVING THE RAINBOW. Sunni Morris lives in the desert southwest with her husband and six cats. This is her third novel.
