This was my first Ampeg purchase. I had other, lower-wattage amps before, but I tried an Ampeg 100W at a store, and I just fell in love with that warm Ampeg sound. This did not disappoint in the least. I have not had any problems with interference from other electronics, and it has a lovely, warm, deep sound. The angled back is a nice addition, allowing me to have it stand upright, or to project the sound up and outward with a quick repositioning. The amp is not very heavy, only slightly heavier than my old Hartke 10W, and with a much better sound. I will definitely be purchasing more Ampeg amps in the future.

Just got a brand new bass for practice and needed a solid, reliable, but also portable bass amp for practice...luckily Ampeg had me covered! This little guy packs a punch and I haven't dialed it to 11. I love the ability to plug in my own music and jam to it! I love how you can have it upright or angled towards you, all in a swift motion. Trust me, if you're looking for a practice amp, look no further.

I am very pleased with this bass amp. For 20w power it feels a lot more powerful. Such crisp low frequencies and warm tones. The -15db button helps get rid of the hiss completely and the amp is still super loud in an enjoyable way. When I bought it, I wasn't aware it had a diagonal position so you can lay it on the floor and point it towards you which is an added bonus. (unlike my 20w guitar amp that I have to prop up on a table stand) It's a bit bigger and heavier than I thought, but considering the quality and value of it, it's totally worth it. Compared to other amps it's actually quite small and it's still fairly portable.

This was my first bass amp. I am an avid guitar player and have experienced many different types and brands of equipment. I have finally decided to breach the bass world and this was my first amp purchase. So far it's very enjoyable, has great options, and sounds great. I'd recommend as a first time experience for bass. Maybe even a little bit better than that.

I detune to C, use telephone wire for string, and think Slayer isn't fast enough, so suffice to say this lil guy really doesn't do anything for me as a bass amp..............BUT.......run my SR16 through it and it has more distortion-less crisp punch than my home stereo. It's inspiring, its clarity and force that is. I'm buying another so I can assign the left/right SR16 outputs to a dedicated amp, it sounds that good. For 100 beans it's a no brainer folks.
