Seriously – I didn't know screwdrivers could be this good! I first tried one when an electrician left one at my house, and I picked it up to tighten a screw. It was so good, first I bought a set like this, and then eventually replaced my entire range of screwdrivers, slots, Philips, Pozidrive and Torx. Why? What's so good, then? • The tips are incredibly precise. They grip the head of the screw exactly. The finish is such that there is a lot of friction with the screw head – they dig in and grip just as you'd want. Since I've had these, I've never stripped the head of a screw. I've sheared some off, but I've never stripped the head. I don't think you can ask more of a screwdriver. • The handles are good. They enable you to get all the torque you want. Many times I've had screws that others have been unable to remove with "lesser" screwdrivers, and I've been able to shift them with these. In principle, you can also use a t-bar through the hole, but I've never tried that. • The VDE insulation on all but the Torx drivers gives extra security for electrical applications, which can only be a good thing. • The colour coding is handy, particularly for distinguishing Pozi from Philips. • The handle shape stops them rolling off a table, etc. Anything bad? Well: • I had to replace one slotted driver because I bent it, but that was my fault for trying to use to on too big a screw, instead of going to get the right driver. They are expensive so it hurt, but not as much as my pride was hurt for doing it in the first place. • Also, the writing of the size is bit small. You get pretty used to knowing which is which if you use them regularly, but if you ask someone to pass you a particular size, they can struggle. • I've not been able to get stubby versions. I don't think they make them. I wish they would. Long handles are often good, but not always. On balance, as you can tell, I'm a big fan of these. I very much doubt you'll be disappointed, and if you find cause to disagree with my opinions, I apologise in advance. On balance, I'd recommend them to pretty much anyone.Read full review

I'm a big fan of Stanley tools and have many in my tool collection. I got this to go with my arthritic hands and it works well for this. The tool has a good weight to it and the handle itself is well made and the swivel mechanism is firm and robust and ideal for my purpose. The ratchet mechanism is vague and imprecise and the hex socket is not as magnetic or as tight as i would prefer. I know Stanley could do better. Great idea though.

The handle is held in position by a magnet and fell apart almost immediately. Strange design and feels cheap and flimsy, surprised that and disappointed with Stanley.
