I've got several Engel ice chests. They're all of good quality. I researched all of the other commercially available 100+ quart rotomolded coolers before I went with the Engel 123. The fit and finish of my Yeti 50 is better, along with better latches, but the Engel 123 cost the same as a Yeti 50. And the Engel came with a basket, which is handier than you'd think it would be. Also the Yeti, Grizzly, K2, and Pelican coolers are physically much bigger for the same inside volume than the Engel Deep Blue. The Engel is more slim and trim like an Orca, Blackstone, and Canyon. And they all hold ice extremely well. The latches are cheesy and will not stand abuse like the other big brands. But both front corners of the box and the lid have locking holes. A carabeener will work to keep the lid closed while traveling after the latches die. I may adapt some yeti latches onto the box to really seal it up. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. For 400 bucks I'll live with the latches and remember the other 200-250 I didn't spend on the Yeti/Orca/Grizzly 125 boxes. Read full review
