After reading on line about pour-over coffee, I decided to try this method. It produces the best coffee. I was amazed at the difference this method could make to the same coffee that I used to use in a single cup French Press. There is no bitterness - the smoothness is sublime. When I read more on line about this method, I learned that this was more or less the first way that people began to drink coffee and then automation of coffee making followed, but with a subsequent change in flavour of the coffee because of the process. I would defy anyone to try the same coffee as a pour-over and then as a French press, and not be remarkably and pleasantly surprised, at how good the method makes the coffee taste. It's so good that it probably makes inferior coffee better!

Product works well, glass is a little bit thin, got to be careful when washing it. Rinses out easily. Grooved design of paper holder (the black plastic bit) helps to speed up filtration. All round, an easy way to use ground coffee. Word of warning: the price of the paper filters isn't the cheapest, may end being expensive in the long run. Check the cost of supermarket filter papers (Harris, Melitta, etc) versus genuine Hario filter papers.
