Jaws is 30 years old. This scary blockbuster film is a classic and one of the original horror films from 1975l It is an excellent DVD set for the fan of the scary film from Steven Spielberg. This film can be watched over and over and enjoyed by all. I loved the scene in which Brody said "We've gotta get a bigger boat" The look on his face was priceless. This was really one of the first disaster movies that were popular in the mid-70's. If you haven't seen this movie, buy it today and make sure you have lots of popcorn and someone to share this with! This movie has endured the test of time and is an all time classic film. It is suspenseful and scary and keeps you glued to your seat, even after viewing it time and time again. Starring Roy Scheider as Chief Brody Robert Shaw as Quint Lorraine Gray as Ellen BrodyRead full review
What can I say? This movie is a classic! I've seen it a few times but I love watching it with someone who's never seen it before. I like to see how they react to different parts. I've watched many of the "making of" DVDs for Jaws and I find it funny that if it was filmed the way it was supposed to be, it would have been a "good" film but not a "great" one. Also, I encourage everyone to read the novel because it's written differently than the screenplay. There's a whole love interest thing going on, but I won't spoil it. This movie has it's share of gore but it's the suspense that gets ya.
3 decades after it's release, still one of the best of all time. Seeing this as a kid, I had nightmares that my bed was floating in the ocean, and Jaws was out there going to get me. Just remembering the horror parts are enough to make me cringe, but seeing this movie again recently made me realize what a good story and what an excellent cast this movie brought with it. Roy Scheider will forever be remembered for the man who killed Jaws. What's amazing is the movie is scary, and you don't even see the shark for like the whole first hour of the movie, and it's still compelling. And the part where Richard Dreyfuss checks out that ship and the decomposed head pops out, I jump every time I see that. Extra deleted scenes, and the Making of Jaws are worth watching, even though no extras are needed to enjoy this classic.Read full review
