Tarkus is one of my favorite E,P&P lps. I have 2 other copies. An original Cotillion, that sounds great, a razor and tie picture disc that's not bad, except for surface noise, because it's a picture disc, and the piano intro on Bitches Crystal is too quiet and soft. Now, the BMG has deep solid bass, but not over powering. The mids have a nice clean presence that sounds buttery smooth, while the top end has that crystal shimmer to the cymbals that I like. The vocals on the high end sometimes get close to being edgy, when Greg Lakes belts out A time and a place, but never go that far.The whole record is detailed, even in the more busier parts of the music. The vinyl is flat and both sides are center pressed. The vinyl is inky black quiet to. This lp would be a good buy for anyone who likes Tarkus.Read full review
