These phones are a great solution for people wanting a basic phone without having to renew their contracts. We are out of contract and Verizon wanted $79 for this same phone after a $50 rebate if I renewed with a two year commitment, AND they wanted to charge me a $40 upgrade fee. Even if these phones were free from Verizon, I was still obligated for the $40 upgrade fee, and had to stay with this phone/plan for another two years. I bought this phone to replace my failing Samsung Brightside for about the same price that Verizon wanted to charge me as an upgrade fee, and I didn't have to renew my contract! I'm free to make a change or get a smart phone whenever I want. This phone appears to be brand new and is very similar to the Samsung Brightside. Battery life after first full charge, using it and setting up the phone, as well as leaving it on overnight lasted three full days. At the end of the third day I was down to one bar of battery life so I charged it. People on the other end sound good and they can hear me clearly. Speaker phone works well although at the loudest setting, the sound becomes slightly distorted. Bluetooth connected to our Accord, RAV4 and Cadillac without an issue. I primarily use this phone to call and text. My favorite feature is that when a text comes in, the name or number of the person who sent me the text is a different color than the names of people who's texts I've already read. This feature makes it easy for me to find "unread texts"! I bought three of these phones and so far, the three of us are very pleased with this purchase.Read full review

Pros: If you have long fingernails like me, the touch screen will work great if you use just your nails to tap on things. Keyboard is pretty easy for people with nails too. I do a lot of texting and found it suitable. Scowling using the screen can be finicky at times. Efficient and easy to navigate platform. Haven't used for data. Antenna and battery life good but not great. After 60 days, charging part inside the phone failed. Now I have to take battery out and charge it on charger. Rest of phone working well.

I previously had a Samsung Brightside, which I liked. I read a review comparing the two which said the LG was smaller but physically more robust than the Brightside. The other reviewer liked the Samsung better for that reason, but I like the LG better for that same reason. I am not hard on phones. I had used the Brightside for less than a year when the touch screen quit working for a couple of days then started working again for apparently no reason. The keys on the Brightside are easier to type on, but a phone has to be reliable because if it doesn't work when you need it, it's worthless. There were a few user interface features that were a little more intuitive on the Brightside, but still, if the phone doesn't work when you need it, who cares? Unless this one fails prematurely like the Brightside did, I will be happy with it.Read full review

The size is perfect to carry and not get in the way on my belt holster. I do not use every feature, of which there are may, but I like the full keyboard for texting. The keyboard letters are small and a good sized fingernail does help in tapping the letter you want. It is Bluetooth compatible so that it works through my car's radio and is hands free. I use hearing aids and have to remove one in order to hear what is being said, but the sound is strong enough to hear readily without the aid. This phone suits me for my uses which does not include a smartphone's function and size.

I am mildly disappointed with this phone. It is attractive and has good features ....bright screen, easy to read, and operate and has nice sound quality. The battery life while not in use is great but as soon as I start using it for texting taking pictures ( picture quality is OK ) or entering information ( such as addresses and personal info on contacts) the battery goes in a hurry. May have to look into purchasing a spare so as to always have a full battery. Truthfully that doesn't bother me; my biggest disappointment with this phone is that I bought it for a replacement for an older phone that did not work in a metal building ( which surprise, people, many stores are in metal buildings!! ) only to find out that this phone isn't any better. Huge disappointment to me! I am wondering at this point what kind of phone a person has to get to be able to use it in most stores. The good thing is that it does work well outside and when not inside a metal building. Can't have everything but that was what I most wanted.Read full review
