Bought this on a whim, because I needed a bag for a POD unti I had just acquired, but I also used it to transport a couple of pedals for a quick jam at a friend's house, and it worked out very nicely. The Velcro divider lets you put smaller items in there and still have them fit snugly, and the bag is easy to carry and made to be pretty durable. Quite a lot of bang for a little bit of bucks! And the DEFENDER logo is pretty cool looking, really! Would definitely buy more stuff from this company if they end up making more! 10/10!

I have played in bands regularly for the last 20+ years. During the 80s, I was a metal-head guitar player, but I'd fill in on bass, and I ended up getting some studio work playing bass. I wound up putting together a nice bass rig, and I haven't played guitar a lot for years. I decided to put a small studio back together, and I've been looking for a while for a good set of pedals, pedal board, or rack mount unit for guitar. I've always liked Line 6, and I have a few of their pedals (love the Uber Metal pedal), so this was an easy choice: 78 guitar amp models (including a LOT of classic and modern amp models), 28 bass amp models, a couple of dozen cabinet and mike models, TWO SEPARATE RIGS/GUITARS AT A TIME (run in parallel to different outputs), a full set of effects, and a back panel full of 1/4", XLR, digital, and USB outs to send sound to just about anything. By the way, the review page is showing a red plastic 'bean' PodX3 to the left, but in reality, the PodX3 Live is a black metal-faced pedal board with about 8 chrome knobs, 12 chrome footswitches and a wah/volume pedal. I agree with others who say that the presets are on the wimpy side. Just pick a sound with some distortion and start scrolling through the amp models, and you'll get an idea what this thing has to offer. There are both ultra-modern heavy and very classic sounds in SPADES! I can't wait until I have some time to set up some of my own presets. This is everything a guitarist who loves Line 6's pedals could want, plus an outrageously huge barrel of extra features!Read full review
I was considering many effects pedals for my bass set-up. After coming up with a total price and picking myself off the floor, I looked into what the POD X3 could do and was blown away. After purchasing the POD and a foot pedal for it the fun began. Being able to get as many different sounds from such a small piece of hardware is insane. I thought I needed a rack full of gear to accomplish what this gem can produce. Setting up can be difficult at first, but once you attach it to your computer, and use the GUI it makes more sense how each of the knobs affect the operation. Also, you can configure all the setting on the computer and download them right to the bean. Also, the software that comes with it is cool. With the software you can not only modify the settings, but you can also play MP3's and slow them down so that figuring out riffs is made easier. Another feature that I like, no bass setting in the library yet, is the ability to download from Line 6 pre made tones for a variety of songs, right to the POD X3 bean. Being a bass player there are not a lot of effects in the marketplace. So in my opinion, this little guy sure does what about $5,000 of rack gear can do. Using the USB port you can also hook up and record your guitar. I have tried it on my Mac mini with Garage Band software only. I have read through the documentation and I figure I am using about 45% of the capability of the unit.Read full review
This is a pretty good bag. The quality is excellent and it looks/feels like it will last quite a while. I bought this for my Line 6 Pod hd500x and it works "ok" for it. The bag could be a bit more snug so the Pod does not flop back and forth when you carry it. Length wise there is extra room and a spacer which allows you to carry some extra cables or a power strip, but I am talking about the snugness on the top and bottom. I may try adding an extra foam pad to see if this helps. I know this bag was not specifically made for the Pod so I can't fault it too much for not fitting 100%. It is a great deal for the money!

For a nine year old effects floorboard, this is a great value for someone (like me) who wants several effects without spending $100-200 per pedal. Line 6 is generous with this one, I’ve only had it two weeks and there’s still plenty of sonic discoveries to be had. Can’t compare it to Line 6’s new units, but this one looks cool, sounds even better. Couldn’t care less that it happens to be all modeling, I can plug a bass in, then in the blink of an eye pick up the guitar without unplugging from the bass amp and still get a huge stellar amp tone for ultimate chunder. Get it, for $200-ish it’s a steal!
