Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a Nintendo Game Boy Advance video game in which Mario, Toadstool, princess Peach, and several other characters from the classic Nintendo series compete in a series of tournaments. This racing game has five cup races, each comprised of four new tracks. By collecting coins, players can unlock courses from Super Mario Cart, a previous game in the franchise. This gives Mario Kart: Super Circuit the distinction of offering more courses than any other game in the series. Each race is a competition of eight characters vying for first place. A notable feature of this racing game is that characters can pick up several item boxes while they drive. Each one creates a specific advantage or disadvantage. For example, a banana peel dropped on the track causes anyone who drives over it to lose momentary control of his or her vehicle. This racing game has several different modes, allowing players to race against AI opponents, and also features time trials, enabling players to learn the tracks and improve on their previous best times. This Nintendo Game Boy Advance video game has been given a G rating by the ACB, making Mario Kart: Super Circuit appropriate for all ages.
