These little routers are great for applications needing moderate speed at 2.4 Ghz. We use these to give SONOS connectivity in buildings that have large commercial wi-fi systems that don't support SONOS device interconnection since the controlling device must be in the same sub-net as the SONOS and that is not always true on large systems with multiple access points using DHCP. Otherwise there are newer and faster dual band routers to fulfill more advanced needs.

I have 2 other routers in the house in order to extend my wifi coverage throughout each room in the house. I run hardwire ethernet to each router and make each router as another wifi or ethernet ports. I have 3 extra ethernet ports after the hardwire upstream is used.
