First Micro 4/3 camera i have owned but wanted one when this model came out, I usually have loads camera kit with my main camera Canon 5d mk2 but wanted something compact but still able to use my collection of vintage manual focus lenses and this little camera does the job great! due to the sensor size any lens with double in focal length so my 300mm Russian lens turns into a 600mm lens ideal for wildlife! wish i had bought one years ago.

They’re a few years old now, and they cost a few hundred pounds when new. 12.3 megapixel sensor looks a bit old hat in the era of 16+ mp cameras, BUT the E-PL1 is capable of taking photos that will stand up to any scrutiny. There’s a big range of digital lenses in micro 4/3 fitting, and adapters to use 35mm camera lenses are cheap and available. At the prices you can buy them on eBay, the E-PL1 is a huge bargain. I love mine.
