FIRST, this is not a scientific calculator, it is a financial calculator and if someone in advanced university science or math classes buys it for either purpose they will be sorely dissappointed! As a financial calculator it excels. However, it supercedes the EL-733A which was a superior calculator in many ways. Sharp has made access to certain functions more difficult on their new 738...things that were easy to find and use on the old 733A! But it is still a better calculator than the TI BAii and it's various versions and rivals all HP financials when price is used as a comparison! You'll be happy with the 738 as long as you realize it is a FINANCIAL and not a scientific calculator!
