I purchased this toy for my kids swimming pool. There were several different versions to choose from and bought this one because it was the cheapest. I am very pleased and it was what I expected. It is a very simple straightforward pool basketball hoop. It completely serves its purpose. I just want to make one note. The basketball netting/cord is the type of material that MIGHT start to degrade after awhile. I write this because it is the same type of cord/strap material that is used to secure a pin to a plastic jump cup for horse jumps. After one/two seasons, the cord starts falling apart, and I THINK that the basketball netting might do the same. However for the price, your kids will get hours of enjoyment and it will definitely serve its purpose and I think that you can definitely get several seasons of use out of this product.Read full review

Instructions aren't the greatest but you can figure it out after you take a good look at it. My problem was the assembly of the PVC rim. It is very tight fitting it together, there are predrilled holes in the fittings but not in the tubing. With it being very tight and no play what so ever I started putting in the supplied screws and once it started going through the PVC tubing it shattered a section off where the screw started penetrating. I pulled the broken piece out of the fitting, forced it back in again and now it was even tighter and snapped again. Pulled that piece out and tried one more time and it took a lot of force to get it in the fitting again with it being so short and some how got it to go in the last time but one section of the tubing was now a little shorter than the other two. Not noticeable unless your looking for it. So bottom line, it is made of cheap PVC tubing.Read full review

The quality control is poor. Once assembled correctly it is a good value but getting there was a pain. The upper tier required three pieces of curved PVC tubing and on both units they were fine. But there it ends. The connectors were supposed to be curved so as to facilitate assembly and create the circle. They were not all curved ones on either unit. There are six curved pieces of PVC necessary for each of the lower tiers, but in both units there were three. It was obvious that the company had neglected to cut those pieces in half, so I had to do it. Ends of all the pieces that were to fit into the connectors should have had slight tapers so as to facilitate making the connection. More than half were not, obviously to include the freshly cut ends I made. If the company gets its act together, it's a nice product in the face of a poor instruction sheet.Read full review

We were excited to test out this fun looking product. Unfortunately, the fun was almost over before it began. Screwing in one of the screws as per the directions cracked/broke one of the bars. My husband was able to modify the bar (he'd give Macguyer a run for his money!), so it fit in and stayed where it was supposed, or it would have been an instant waste of money. With that said, we've had no further issues using it after it was assembled, and the kids have a lot of fun with it in the pool.

This is a lot of fun, it's light weight, sturdy, fun for kids and adults, I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the assembly. NO instructions, the pieces are not marked (top...bottom, etc.) they look very simllar, however once you put it together wrong 3 or 4 times you realize the pieces are not identical and some "curve" a bit more than others.
