Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Receivers
I love the internal network connectivity. I didn't think I would care, but I can control the receiver from my phone or tablet..that means anywhere I have network connectivity I can change songs, etc. I can listen to my pandora or other network streaming sites from my receiver without any other device. As I noted in my title, why even go to the work to install composite, s-video or Component inputs if they cannot be output to HDMI? This seems like a glaring missed opportunity. The parts necessary for the conversion can be had at miniscule prices. Almost every other receiver I looked at that had the ports could cross convert...not this one. I have a WII that I still like to play, but it only outputs Component video. One of the reasons I purchased this particular receiver was the brand, Yamaha, they make high quality receivers. However, I wanted one that could cross-convert the signals from older equipment and this one fit the bill... I even looked at a website that said that it COULD upconvert from Composite and Component to HDMI. As far as I can tell, this was wrong. I can output to the same type of connectors, but not across types.Read full review

It is more for an HDMI ARC output TV. Maybe it can work with a non HDMI non ARC output & work with composite cabling.
