Great processor which still works well today!!!
I bought the E6750 for one of my projects, to build a PC under £200. The final cost was £190 and the PC can play Crysis at 30 FPS on very high :). When building budget, intel is the way to go! People are often surprised when I say this, but the secondhand market for intel is better than AMD's. You can find loads of intel chips at greatly reduced prices that still work well (such as this) whereas AMD's second hand market is relatively expensive when compared to the firsthand market. The E6750 is a great CPU (even now in 2012) for budget gamers, I promise it won't bottleneck any graphics card and you can pick it up for under £30. On top of all this, the socket used by this is the same used by the intel quadcore series; so there is still room for an upgrade when the quadcores start becoming cheaper.
