Good basic sharpener
2 of 2 found this helpful The product was good quality, and good value, but I felt it was a little savage on the knives and needed to be used with care. Perhaps it would be of more use for ordinary knives that were able to take the harsh sharpening. In saying that I'm sure most people would be pleased with the results as it certainly did what it claimed to do and that was to sharpen steel.

Lives up to its hype in all ways.

Having the solid base was great as I don't think it would have worked as well without it. The handle action was easy to use, and I think I will get a lot of use out of it over summer when slicing and dicing is more prevalent with salads, etc. I would recommend it, especially with the price well within range of most buyers for such a product.
