Wickedly Funny
5 of 5 found this helpful This book is delightfully wicked, seriously funny and a heartmelting, "Ahh" all rolled into one. James and Sarah's characters are alive and the banter between them will have you blushing like a school girl. Sally MacKenzie really makes you feel the what the characters are feeling it was so good I read it twice and still had a hard time with giving it away. There's laughter, there's tears, when they're frustrated your frustrated but when they are happy you are "Oh, so happy." It's a must read for any true romantic. It's been a long time since I've read a romance this good. It's got it all- romance, humor, and even a touch of intrigue. You can't go wrong with this book.

Best Outta Three
3 of 3 found this helpful This book is actually third in a series. The first book being "Thicker than Water" followed by "Colder than Ice" and now we have "Darker than Midnight." By far the best out of three. You do not need to read the other two as each story can stand independantly of the others. In fact I read this one first and so enjoyed the characters that I had to get the rest to find out more. Jax the femal cop of this story is one sassy and sexy babe, her tell it like it is attitude makes feel a little more prouder about being a woman this book has you one edge from the very beginning and just when you think you've got it figured out, you'll be pleasantly surprised you were wrong.

A real cliff hanger
1 of 1 found this helpful This book pics up on Max and Lou's relationship that just seemed to drop off in on of her other books and seemed never to be returned to. It is not Maggie's usual style as if you are an avid reader of her books you know it's all about the vamps. But this is still a great read full of intrigue and romance but what will really get you going is the glimpses into Stormy and what is happening to her and the book ends with a real cliff hanger that currently has me bitting my nails until the "Prince of Twilight" comes out this fall.
