A real deal
As it a genuine cartridge set you would be very unhappy if it did not do what you it was bought for ! Genuine cartridges appear to work far better with less clogging than a cheaper version , this found by experience…. Basically if you want less hassle then buy the real replacement which this and it might even work out per print more economical

Take the High road
The Highlands are not exactly where you would expect to find double deckers but this is the book to prove they do exist. There is a mix of photographs, some showing the background of the Highlands whilst others concentrate on the vehicles themselves.
Reproduction of the images is largely good and captions informative. The vast range of types , more than you might think, are covered especially those that carried mail as well as passengers.
A very worthwhile investment.

Coaching tips
Not the usual airfix/Dapol kit but a series of parts with pre painted sides to enable a coach to be built at a lower cost than if buying a completed one.
Construction is straightforward with many components clipped together. Further painting can be done to the interior and under frame whilst the roof vents are glued in from underneath and once fixed in place the roof can also be painted before being clipped into place.
I had previously completed a couple of similar coaches with pleasing results. These were done in the 1990s when the kit cost was approximately half the price of the completed coach.
The only downside to the tooling is lack of details to the underframe when compared with more modern models. Even so they still look good when on a layout and you hardly miss a lot of the detail in any case.
With the cost of coaches and other rolling stock ever increasing then maybe manufacturers might look again at this “ckd” approach ( completely knocked down”
