Elk Ridge 440 Fixed Blade Hunting Knife With Bone Handle #304BN
08 May 2018
Good looker capable of everyday camp chores.
I haven't had the opportunity to do any field testing but I can attest to the workmanship being good for the price. The 440A stainless blade came reasonably sharp, able to cut through cardboard and paper easily enough. I also hacked it into a pine 2X4 and and it went in about a half inch. The white smooth bone handle is tight, well polished and with just a small blemish by the tang and cross guard. The leather sheath is pretty decent for an import. It is true leather and not some kind of "top grade pleather" out of Pakistan. As you can tell from the faux file work on the spine, the laser cut-out on the blade and the white bone, handle the knife is a bit of a show knife but it seems sharp enough, tough enough, and sleek enough for everyday camp use. I'd be hesitant to baton with it because of the cut-out in the blade but then I rarely baton with any knife.
Atlantis M220 Tom Daniels Ghost of the Red Baron Skull plastic model kit 1/3

The Ghost of the Red Baron Returns! So Cool!
Let's be fair. It's as durable as a model kit can be. But it goes together well and it looks great. Really simple to build. You can build it straight from the box with minimal painting or make it as detailed as you wish! We all know that this is kit is really going to appeal to old Tom Daniel Fans who've been waiting for over almost 40 years for a re-release of this awesome snap kit! Thank you Atlantis for the re-issue!

If you like Bill Engval and you like fishing, you'll probably like the movie
Let's face it, the movie isn't Oscar winning material. It's a simple family type movie. It is very formulaic. A dad with solid principles trying to teach his son a lessons on hard work and dedications. The whole notion of fishing is man vs. fish. The thought of leaning patience, learning the lake, and skill vs. high tech gadgets and slick expensive equipment, The little guy who represents a slower more peaceful time vs corporate greed. All the stereotypes are there, It has mostly clean, family humor and lacks the fart jokes of a Larry the Cable movie.
