Genuine A1406 A1495 Battery for Apple Macbook Air 11" A1465 A1370 2011 2012-2015
11 March 2022
Genuine OEM battery (I don't recomend 3rd-party batteries). Easy to install. Includes tools!
11 Mar, 2022 Easy to install. This is the genuine OEM battery designed by Apple. I wouldn't recommend a cheap 3rd-party battery. I bought this because my decade-old original battery was only giving me about 90 minutes of battery life. This seems to restore battery life to several hours, although I haven't timed it. Easy to install, and it includes a P5 Pentalobe (1.2mm) screwdriver (blue) to open the case, and a Torx T5 driver (purple) for the battery.). Instructions are available on iFixit (including how to calibrate the battery level meter), if you're not sure how to do it. Leave the clear plastic film attached to the battery. I suggest changing inside a large lid or box, to catch any small screws you may drop! A mounted magnifying glass or camera is useful, as the screws and antenna cable connectors are tiny.

Portable 89800mAh Car Jump Starter Booster 4USB Charger Battery Power Bank 12V
16 February 2019
Instant start! But read the instructions!
It works! Instant start. You won't regret buying one! It might save you from getting stuck if you've left your headlights on. Great peace of mind. I bought one of these three months ago, and have only needed to jump start a car once: we had already unsuccessfully tried jump starting the car several times (I think it was a Ford Mondeo or Ford Focus) using a large SUV with its engine revving at 3000 rpm. The Ford didn't start. We then unplugged the SUV and instead tried the power bank. The Ford started *instantly*. I think the power bank used about 10 percent of its charge to do the jump start. ***Make sure you get familiar with the instructions first: a safety procedure is to *not* connect the jumper clips to the power bank until you have _already_ connected the jumper clips to the battery. The reason is that if you do it in the opposite order, you might get big sparks if you connect live jumper clips to the battery, which can be a fire hazard, as car batteries can release hydrogen gas. The socket on the power bank is designed so that the positive and negative contacts are each inside an insulating tube which physically separates them by plastic (not an air gap) before electrical contact is made. [This is the reason that when you use regular jumper cables, the instructions should tell you to connect the red cable first, then connect the black cable to the donor battery, and finally connect the black cable to a metal point on the car away from the battery, so that the spark is not near the battery]. Another reason to read the instructions well is that not all the functions, sockets, and buttons are intuitive, even for technically-minded people. (e.g. the part labelled jump start looks like a button you press to deliver the current. In fact it is a rubber cover which you pull open to reveal the socket for the jumper clips). If you can't start your car, you might be already in a hurry, anxious or flustered. Most people probably won't work out how to use it intuitively, even if they have jump started cars using regular jumper cables many times. Also the instruction booklet is physically small, the printing is very small, and the English grammar is not extremely good. All this means that if you haven't read the instructions, and get into an emergency, you might get quite frustrated. Charge Retention: The percentage charge indicator is very handy. Mine is four months old, and while it's been three weeks since I recharged it after jump starting the Ford, it's still on 100 percent. I think you might expect it to go down by about 5 percent per 2 months when new. Performance will slowly degrade over time, with heat exposure, or by draining its charge to close to zero. I keep my car under cover at home, I use sunshades when parked in the sun, and keep the power bank under a panel in the luggage compartment too keep it as cool as I can. If your car interior gets hot, I suggest keeping it in the coolest part of your car, (e.g. some cars have hidden compartments in the luggage area) or in the spare wheel compartment, as heat degrades batteries over time. What's included: It comes in a handy case, with lots of accessories. Although the wall charger unit has a 2-round-pin wall plug, my unit arrived with an international adaptor for my country (Australia) in the packaging, provided by the vendor, (I bought mine from bg27cyf: I assume that other vendors would also provide the correct international adaptor for you). It has a cigarette lighter plug also. The housing is rugged and waterproof. Extra functions: These are a bonus, as you probably bought this as a jump starter. It works well as a flashlight. It's brighter than a phone flashlight. Reading the instructions first will help, to learn how to operate the different flashlight modes. It is also handy as an emergency phone/tablet charger. It comes with a phone charger cable with multiple plugs: Lightning (iPhone), Micro-USB (Android/Samsung), and the older 30-pin Apple dock (iPhone 3/4). (It does not have the newer USB-C plugs, however). From memory I think my iPhone 5S gained about two percent of charge for every one percent from the power bank. I have not tried out charging a laptop PC with it. It does not have charging plugs for Mac laptops (magsafe or USB-C). ============== SUMMARY Pros: - These units are fantastic and might save you when you're stuck with a flat car battery! - *Instant* jump starting, unlike jumper cables - Retains charge well - Well designed, rugged, waterproof, smaller than jumper cables - Lots of accessories - Flashlight and phone charger also handy Cons: (All of the cons are minor). - Compared to jumper cables, you need to charge it every so often - Using it requires you to have read the instructions. It's not all that intuitive. - The instructions are small and the printing is tiny - The packing foam in the case is not attached and often falls out.
IEC320 C14 Male to C13 Female Power Adapter Extension Cable with Switch
10 July 2020
Great! I used it to fix my lamp.
I used this to repair my favourite lamp. The switch had failed, and new switches are hard to buy. So the easiest way to fix it was to cut the lamp's cable at that point, fit the lamp cable with a IEC power socket [well, it's the female socket with the three male pins, so I think it's called a socket, but maybe it's called a "plug"], and plug an IEC computer power cable into it. That was a few years ago, and I've been turning the lamp on and off at the power board.. Inserting this item in the chain means I can use a switch again.
