NEW Genuine Original Apple Macbook Pro Charger 85W Magsafe A1343 OEM Magsafe1
11 November 2016
OEM Apple made is only option
I refurbish and repair Apple MacBook Pro and many other model types as well as Windows PCs for a living. I have tested many 3rd party and generic magsafe chargers with the same failed results. I have searched high and low for an aftermarket solution that would be an updated design or at least give a different style option but again they all were failures. The only option for charging your Mac Laptop is an Apple made OEM MagSafe charger. I recommend the 85W version for any MacBook and MacBook Pro 13" and larger which come with a 60W or 85W. For the 60W if you use the 85W it will not harm your MacBook it will just run cooler and have an excess of available power which will result in longer life of the charger too.

Macbook Pro 13 Mid 2009 with 160GB 4GB Ram, 2.26ghz Core 2 Duo, WiFi problematic

Reliable workhorse
The 2009 and 2010 13" MacBook Pro with intel Core 2 Duo is a reliable workhorse. Still able to easily run Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and with a SolidState hard drive it has agile performance. Only drawback is the outdated integrated graphics are not able to play complex 3D games. They will work fine for facebook strategy or any typical basic online game. I personally use a 2.53GHz 2009 13" MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM and SSD hard drive for running my business, browsing the internet, keeping up with friends online, and playing visual novel strategy games. Durable, perfect size, quick, and reliable.
Apple MacBook Pro 15" Laptop - A1286 (Mid 2012)

Last of the easily upgradable MacBook Pro
The mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15" with Intel IvyBridge i7 quadcore and nVidia 650M graphics combines the upgradability of the Unibody Aluminum series with performance on par with top end models of 2016. The design of the motherboard helps in making it more reliable then prior 15" MacBook Pro with the cooler running 650M and 3rd gen i7 while still performing with blazing speed.
