We bought the Makita chainsaw as it is a reputable brand. We were given an old one and my husband took it apart to fix it (which he did) but we had already decided to purchase a new one. We have a lot of trees around the house and the Makita makes light work of trimming the thick branches.
My husband also said that it could have multiple uses. It would slice through bone as quickly and cleanly as needed if the nagging got out of hand (only joking).
Seriously folks, it is perfect for our needs and the price we paid was very reasonable.
Why buy a more expensive chainsaw and a supposed "better" brand, when this would be adequate for most domestic users?
