Great action film
Sly at his best - love the interaction with Sandra Bullock who is great in this completely different role. Wesley snipes makes a great adversary . Snipes plays Simon Phoenix who was sentenced to cryogenic prison as a crime lord and was captured by John Spartan (a cop) who is then frozen for a crime he did not commit. Fast forward 36 years an Phoenix is up for parole and escapes to go on a murderous rampage in a city that has changed drastically over this time, Now cops have non violent solutions and are unable to recapture Phoenix or end his bloodthirsty crime spree so they reanimate Spartan as the only man who was able to capture Phoenix long ago. Fast paced - great supporting cast including Benjamin Bratt, Denis Leary, Nigel Hawthorne and of course Sandra Bullock who is funny and and such a likeable character. Recommend this for anyone who loves Stallone,violence and a great storyline.
