On my "Favorites" list
Regarding Kelley's Heroes, it's a good, engaging WW2 comedy/drama with an all-star cast of frontline soldiers who decide to use their 3-day R&R break to try and hijack a shipment of gold held in a bank behind enemy lines. Nit-pickers won't like the out of place and time pseudo-hippie Sutherland, or the unlikelihood of any number of scenes, but the rest of us will thoroughly enjoy rooting for everyone to make it through the crazy ride to see if they can make it happen.
Can't review Where eagles Dare, haven't watched it yet.

Star War-sy in a good way and well-balanced play
Feels like it's really a Star Wars adventure- the usual bad guys, troublesome creatures and somewhat hokey assistant characters that make up a typical Star Wars encounter. A lot of enjoyable platforming, fighting and some challenging moments with very nice graphics keep you wanting to see what's up next just around the bend. A couple of drawbacks- completing areas and having no easy way out other than to retrace your steps using sometimes difficult to read maps through the whole level again in order to return to your ship to travel to the next challenge is one, and one strange moment when I was trapped in a blue bubble area with no escape, but luckily a restart put me back on track. About 40% through now and still having a good enough time to keep the game in my machine for a quick pickup at any time.

Decent sci-fi horror story matched to great visual effects.
2 of 3 found this helpful Saw the movie in the theater and was somewhat disappointed. I bought it to add to my 3D collection and somehow I liked it much better at home! Maybe I was overhyped the first time. Anyway, it's a good addition to the Alien legacy and the 3D bluray is really done well. The space & outdoor scenes are superbly done, the acting fine, the story decent and the indoor set pieces are done with Scott's unwavering attention to detail. On the flip side, some of the characters are almost caricatures of themselves and a few scenes are so improbable they become nearly ridiculous. But that's being a bit harsh- most sci-fi horror movies have a few of those. I'd put this a good #4 in the Alien saga- Aliens being one of the best of this genre ever, the classic Alien at #2 and a good Alien Resurrection just maybe a hair ahead of Prometheus at #3, storywise. Alien 3 doesn't do a thing for me- I'll probably toss it and put Prometheus into my box set instead. Watch it on a big screen and enjoy the eye candy!
