Less than desired
After eight days of use there were nine gnats caught as apposed to fly strips I had hanging a few feet away that had 21 the first day. I also have a Spectracide zapper that had eight gnats the first day. The strips work much better but they can be messy and where they can be hung is limited to places were the tacks can perforate they hanging surface

4 of 6 found this helpful As a former Marine I used worse generation 1 night vision devices in combat situations. I am very impressed with the goggles overall. Although they are not military issue goggles they have a very good depth of range and a good field of view. They also have an unexpectedly clear view in both gray and white, and green casts. A simple toy they are not and can be used for hunting, security surveillance and any other civilian application not to mention just for the fun of it. Kudos to the manufacturer and the genius who thought of them. The price was amazingly inexpensive. Also they use common AA alkaline batteries that are cheap and can be bought anywhere and don't depend on the purchase of foreign oddball batteries that can be both expensive and very difficult to find.

The next besst thing to night vision
I was looking for a smaller light to replace th one on my LAW-12 shotgun barrel mount but this one I put on my AR-10 instead. It is soooo-bright that I believe I saw Elvis's ghost looking at me from the moon. Just don't look directly at the light or in a mirror, otherwise everything you see for the next half hour will have a magenta cast to it. If they would make this one able to blink, then you could put your live target in a catatonic stupor
