Ive always been passionate about Ducati singles esp. after seeing a 70 s Desmo and studying same in 1981.They are very scarce and acquiring one was difficult but as a trainee Engineer I was able to build one up from various spares and new parts .

Desert column review
A great yarn from my perspective as an "En Zed" to use his quote, obviously Kiwi wasn't in regular usage by the Aussies early in the 20th century. I found it very matter of fact style one would expect from diary entries esp. the Gallipoli campaign which was brutal and deadly as we could easily forget . Not so for myself as I have my great uncle Tommys medals[13 B/n AIF] and the family history of a pommie digger who lay in no mans land for days with a hole blown through his shoulder before his war was over. the Holy land campaign is tricky to follow the geography but Idriess does a great job considering the difficulty of keeping up a dairy in those conditions . Apart from some minor typo errors its a great book Ive been after for years. To brazes with the over priced original hardback versions....
