General International 15in. Drill Press - Variable Speed, Model# 75-155 M1
08 September 2020
A nice tool for the price.
I didn't expect this 15 inch drill press to be lighter than my old 14" one. The column is smaller, less rigid, and the base much smaller. It definitely needs a heavier sub-base, or to be bolted into the floor. For that reason, I can only give it 4 stars. Due to its belt speed design, it is inherently louder than other presses, but not as loud as requiring hearing protection. That being said, I would never use it at its higher speeds, because that's when the noise and the light construction become more noticeable, but since I use it at around 500 RPM, it is no issue at my end. Now the real question: does it drill straight? Yes, it does and that is really what matters in this business--accuracy! The laser is useful, although it requires constant adjustments, so it's mostly used for reference. At this price, it's hard to ask for much more. It is well constructed and best of all, it was shipped on a pallet and arrived without a scratch on the box!
Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus Guitar Effect Pedal Power Supply
05 January 2021
Does what it's designed to do extremely well.
There has been a plethora of power supplies flooding the market since Woodoo Lab conceived of the Pedal Power 2 Plus, but few of them have bested it. At the exception of a few unique designs such as the Tru-Tron which takes unregulated 12 VAC, this one practically does it all without bogging down or inducing noise. I recently bought a second one for my expanding pedalboard in spite of much research into the newer breeds. And though Strymon and Cioks may be the answer for power-thristy digital pedals, albeit at a substantial cost, the Power 2 Plus will handle a couple of those big boys easily. So yes, I do recommend this PS very highly!
NEW Graph Tech Ratio 3X3 Contemporary 2-Pin Locking Tuners, CHROME, #PRL-8311-C0
21 July 2023
Could be somewhat better
I purchased these tuners to install in a new build, but it turned out that they're primarily designed as an upgrade, thus the cost reflected a plethora of shims that I didn't need. Now, these shims add to the thickness of the headstock and that's where the main issue comes up: the shafts are too long without them and the string angle ends up being jeopardized. Additionally, the tension adjusting screws at the pegheads are too tight and one didn't want to come loose and ended up being damaged. In spite of these issues, I like the "ratio" concept quite a lot and tuning stability is outstanding. On the other hand, I believe that shortening the shaft wouldn't impact the functionality of these tuners.
