Broke after only 6 months of careful use.
While the unit is attractive and seemed to work well, the neck of the plastic oil container broke after only six months of use, rendering the item useless.

GE Ice Auger Replacement
I purchased this auger to replace one that had snapped in two pieces due to an ice jam in the ice maker bucket. Although this item looks to be an exact replacement for the OEM part, it is still is unfortunately made from plastic, which is an inherent design shortcoming.
