Magellan Maestro 4250
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought the Magellan 4250 for the voice command option. I purchased a factory refurbished 4250 for the cheaper price. When it came I used it that day and it worked fine although I noticed a bad screen pixel when using it at night (not a big deal to me). But the next day the voice command would not work and then it would work off and on. I sent the unit back for a replacement, this was no problem and my dealer sent me a new one. The new unit did the same thing as far as the voice command but the screen pixels were OK this time so I thought I'll just live with it. A few days went by and I got on my computer and registered my GPS, since then the voice command feature has been working with no problems and I am very happy with it. I also own a Garmin c550 GPS and have used both side by side on a short trip that I knew very well. They both have nice features and if I could combine them you'd have one great GPS. I found the Garmin to be the most accurate, but if you have AAA I think the Magellan would be the better choice. I hope this review helps someone make thier choice but I guess price is the big thing these days.
