RAVENOUS, a fact-based movie of Cannibals in Old West?
This film is definately not what I expected. Based around the true-facts regarding the Donner Pass disaster in 1846, the film then heads into Native American legends and a "vampire-like" portrayal of survival under extreme conditions. Even Roger Ebert, of Siskel and Ebert, called this one "... a cross between a vampire movie and a cannibalism movie.". Starring Guy Pierce (of Momento and The Time Machine), even featuring David Arquette (of Scream fame) in a rather quirky role. The story twists and turns in a sometimes humorous, but often gruesome fashion. The intense action and unexpected surprizes that unfold as the tale plays out is what really makes this one worth checking out. I was pleasantly caught off-guard by the originality of the story's concept; a truly different twist on the Vampire/ Cannibal/ Action-Horror genre. I'm pleased to have this one as part of my personal collection. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope that it was helpful - please rate it accordingly. An unexpected film - see Dragons return, REIGN OF FIRE!
This movie was rather unexpected - "Mad Max vs. The Dragons"? Taking place in 2020, the Dragons of lore have awoken from their epoch-long hybernation and have hunted mankind to near extinction! This film offers up a very different twist on Dragon mythos, yet manages to anchor it firmly in the real world. This is an extremely well-done film: the cast, the action, the special effects and the unique story - they all make this one a very worthwhile diversion! Starring Christian Bale (of Batman Begins and The Prestige) and Matthew McConaughey (of Dazed and Confused and Frailty), their performances certainly will not disappoint. I'm pleased to have this one as part of my personal collection and share it with others often. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope that it was helpful. If you believe that it was, please take a moment and CLICK "YES" to rate it accordingly. Thanks again, be fair and take care out there...

CONAN THE BARBARIAN - Adventures in the Hyborean Age!
This movie is definately one of my favorites. Based on the Robert E. Howard stories of his imagined Hyborean Age, this is keynote film in the Sword-and-Sorcery genre. There have been many to imitate, but none to ever duplicate the one and only Conan the Barbarian! An extremely well-done film: the cast, the action, the music, the story - they all make this an absolute MUST SEE! I'm proud to have this one as part of my personal collection and rewatch it often.
