Performs well.
This is an excellent product and performs as expected. It wax easy to out together too. It takes up a fair amount of room. A collapsible model would be well received.

Disappointing product with high claims and poor performance
It is described as safe for coloured pencil with a feature that prevents over sharpening. It broke the leads of my precious and expensive prismacolor pencils. I’ve been using this pack for years and have NEVER had a broken lead before. I purchased it specifically to use with coloured pencils
In addition, there are no instructions regarding the insertion of the batteries. I had to search google for it and even that post wasn’t very clear. Maybe this obvious to the tech savvy young but I’m a senior citizen.
There are two grooves on the base of the product. It’s reasonable to suppose that you lever the cover off using the large groove. Not so.
Additionally it takes undue force to get the cover off. The plastic bulged such that I was afraid it would break.
It worked fine with ordinary graphite pencil, is well made, compact enough to fit in my portable drawing kit and is aesthetically pleasing. The additional sharpening units are a great inclusion but of no use in a product that fails to deliver.
With all the above issues, I’m astonished that this product has received a Design Award. I had high hopes and am disappointed. I’ve gone back to the cheap electric sharpener that has worked well for me for years, but is losing its edge.
If I still had the packing, I would return it.
