Chuck Berry (1987, Hardcover)THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY, First Edition 1987

The Great Chuck Berry, a true rock 'n'n roll poet!
Chuck Berry was my first concert in NYC. This is a terrific book, filled with many, honest, heartfelt and humorous stories and observations about his life and music. A great read for anyone into rock 'n' roll, who wants to hear some of those stories from Mr. Chuck Berry himself!

Amazing CD from these 2 sisters!
Fantastic CD full of foot-stomping blues and rock. Preachin' Blues, Look Away, Freedom, Wanted Woman are just a few of the highlights. These 2 sisters can sing and play some mean blues!!

The Born to Run book is inspirational!
I purchased the Born to Run book mainly because I am a huge Springsteen fan and I like black and white photography. For me also, the Born to Run album is an album that tells a specific story within those 8 songs. This book also tells a story, about a young songwriter trying to find the right images to match his stories, his poetry. There are many great shots of Bruce and Clarence, photos which reveal the bond they share, the friendship they have, that special connection, which is also a theme of the album and the book; making connections for that life's journey. Essentially that's what Bruce's music has always been about, making and maintaining those connections and here you get an insight into what images seem to fit with the overall theme of this young poet's music. Look at the photo that became the cover shot for the album. That shot says it all. Eric Meola really did a fantastic job conveying those themes in many of his photos. And along with the great photography, the words to the 8 songs which make up the Born to Run album, are also there, standing side by side with the powerful black and white images. In a way, the book could be viewed as a book of poetry; the images of Bruce and Clarence and the words to the songs on Born to Run. I strongly recommend this book.
