First introduced back in 2018, the adidas Crazy BYW (or Boost You Wear) is actually a play on the original FYW (or Feet You Wear) range from the late 90s. Instead of relying on the original outdated technology, adidas blended the throwback vibe of the new BYW range with modern cushioning tech. The adidas Crazy line of sneakers uses Boost technology to provide stylish durability with enhanced comfort.

Based on a legend’s sneakers
The initial design of the adidas Crazy was modelled after NBA superstar Kobe Bryant's first signature line of shoes designed for shooting hoops called the KB8. While the adidas KB8 is still a very popular sneaker on the scene today, it has been rebranded as an adidas Crazy 8.
When the originally dubbed “The KOBE” collection was released, it was an entirely new profile rather than retaining any of the key design elements. When adidas decided to re-release it in mid-2013, they renamed the line as Crazy 1.
Crazy BYW LVL x Pharrell Williams
With a blend of luxurious innovation with retro vibes, Pharrell Williams decided to add some of his style to the trendy design and unique shape of the Crazy BYW. For a twist, the superstar producer added a Boost midsole and a Primeknit upper to create lighter sneakers with excellent breathability, funky styling, and vibrant colouring. He then released them as adidas Crazy BYW LVL x Pharrell Williams sneakers.
