Get fit with Avanti treadmills

Treadmills are an essential piece of gym kit for the fitness workout experience. To buy one for the home gym, there are a range of types depending on size, cost and selection of programmes available.

Avanti have also captured the market for home gym equipment. They have an array of multi-gym and cardio equipment for weight training and improving cardiovascular fitness. They are now a leading brand in treadmill manufacture and offer basic models to the more commercial types of walking/running machines.

Considerations when buying a treadmill is the power, the walking area, the cushioning, the noise level, and the value for money.

Power

Treadmills, if they are not manual, run on electricity so the costs must be weighed up. An average 1000 watt treadmill suitable for home use does not use a lot of electricity, even if used daily. A manual treadmill is propelled by the feet meaning you cannot set a speed. Also, electric treadmills often allow for inclines to be set for a more challenging workout.

Walking area

This depends on how much space you have. A wider walking area is better for running. If you are going to use it for walking or running, consider how much length and width you need to stride effectively.

Cushioning

Cushioning acts as a shock for the legs after impact from running and walking, and should which protect the joints. Ideally, a treadmill should be well cushioned.

Noise level

Treadmills can be noisy machines and therefore distracting, especially if others are sharing your environment. The decibel level produced by the treadmill itself is dependent on the speed used. Ideally, it should be barely noticeable and within a range of 40 to 60 decibels.

The bottom line is, also how much money you have to spend, and what is the best you can buy for your money.
