Stock Up On Brewing, Distilling & Wine Making Supplies
If you want to start brewing beers, distilled spirits or making your own wine at home, you're going to need the right equipment. On eBay, you can get a wide range of brewing, distilling & wine making supplies.
Brewing supplies
Getting ready to start making your own beers? There are plenty of varieties you can find, including American Pale Ale, Irish Stout, Belgian beers, mixed beers with craft breweries, and much more. The first thing you'll need is fresh-packed hops, specialty grains, and dry malt extract.
You also want to make sure you have a measuring flask and durable hydrometer, erasable marker, brewers log card instruction card, bottles & caps, mixing spoon, thermometer strip with adhesive brew enhancer, and other materials. To make things easier, get yourself a kit if you're just starting out.
Distilling supplies
For distilling your own flavours, you need to make sure you have the right distilling supplies. To start with, you need a still – a good first-time option is a 1.5 – 2 litre copper alembic pot; or larger if you want to make more.
You'll also need a water heater, and you could stock up your flavours and other ingredients. Get a plastic fermenter with tap, airlock, grommet and stick-on thermometer, a filter, and measuring jug. Just to name a few. You can get full distilling kits that have everything you need to get started.
Wine making supplies
If you want to get started on making your own wine, your kit should include a fermenter first and foremost – make sure it's not oxygen tight so the wine can breathe. A food-grade bucket is a good idea here.
You want a carboy - an airtight jar that's made from either plastic or glass and has a narrow neck at the top that lets the wine mature; and also a bung and airlock which is used to seal the top of the carboy – you can get the airlocks in a range of sizes and shapes. A racking cane and transfer tube should be on your list, oak powder, cubes or chips are used for red wine, and of course you need to have bottles and corks for your wine once it's ready.
