Citizen Wristwatches

A good quality wristwatch enhances any look and style. Modern watches are no longer simply timepieces that tell you the time. You can wear the latest technological upgrades on your wrist and do it proudly. The Japanese-made Citizen watches feature some advanced features that have shaken the world. For instance, Citizen launched the world's first dive watch as well as the first voice recognition watch and has come out with a really slim LCD watch. The brand strives to be the first on many fronts, and with their watch, you can be, too.

Advanced Technologies

Watches with the Eco-Drive function never stop because they produce energy from any light source and store it in the integrated power cells. These watches continue working even after six months in total darkness. Atomic timekeeping provides extreme accuracy with an almost non-existent margin of error. Avoiding interference with electronics that you use during the day, these watches acquire radio signals at night to adjust the watch to the correct time and day. Some Eco-Drive models also use Satellite Wave technology that allows them to receive accurate GPS signals from the satellites and set the watch accordingly.

Material

Thanks to the superior Super Titanium material, the Citizen wristwatches excel in durability and do not get any scratches on their surface. However, not all Citizen watches use titanium. Most are from stainless steel, which is also a great material, but it's little less resistant to corrosion and a bit heavier. The watch bands can use different materials, such as leather, canvas (Nato strap), and titanium or stainless steel. The metals are typically silver, gold, or black, while leather and canvas lend themselves to more colour options. Women's watches sometimes come with Swarovski crystal decorations.

Band Type

Both men's and women's wristwatches fall into different categories based on their band type. The band could be either a strap or a bracelet. Both are adjustable, so the choice boils down to personal preference. All in all, most Citizen wristwatches have bracelets.

Features

Citizen wristwatches boast with many premium features. This includes Citizen watches with a 12-hour dial, but some models with digital display are also available. The watches come either with two or three hands, with some of them being Citizen watches with luminous hands, so you can check the time in the dark. LED backlight on some watches also helps for glancing at your watch with no other light available. Alarm, calendar, timer, world time, altimeter, superior water resistance, and Bluetooth connectivity are also available on some watches.
