Computer Monitors, Projectors and Accessories

The most powerful processors and graphics cards in the world won’t do you a lick of good if you haven’t got at least one reasonably sized, high-quality monitor to work with. More than that, you need your monitor to be positioned in a way that you can work at your desk for some time without developing spinal issues. And sometimes you need to be able to show your work to a whole room of people, sometimes you need a projector.

Monitors

Monitors are the most common way to look into a computer’s soul, and also the most versatile. Monitors can range from a handsome 17 inches to a huge 28 inches. You can find screens that are even larger still if you need, but you’ll find that more often than not those are televisions first and foremost, with television functionality and an accompanying price tag. Computer monitors have few numbers associated with them besides the size in inches. There’s the aspect ratio, most commonly 4:3, which indicates the relative vertical and horizontal size of the screen. The other one is the response time, shown in milliseconds (MS) that indicates the delay between you performing an action and it being shown on screen. Most modern monitors have a response time so low that it is more or less irrelevant. Getting your monitor or monitors placed how you want them is easiest by purchasing the right kind of monitor mound or stand.

Projectors

Projectors are the go-to solution for when you need to show something off to a room of people. This can be for work, but it can also be to show your friends and family your holiday pictures. Projectors can also be carried along more easily, since they don’t actually have a fragile, bulky screen. All you need is a dark room and a reasonably smooth and light surface! To get your projector pointed where you need it, check out some of the projector parts and accessories, such as tri-pods, ceiling brackets and carry bags.
