The next step is to channel the water from storage to where it needs to go. Usually the majority of the water will travel through industrial irrigation pipes and is then filtered through the field by hoses. The pipes are usually underground and much larger and resistant to wear and tear. The final step is to squeeze the water through sprinklers at the end of the hose. Sprinklers can often be set up for particular patterns of water distribution, and to turn on at specific times. This can be helpful since you can programme the sprinklers to turn on and off to best fit your watering needs.
