Miss Dior Eau de Toilette

Christian Dior started creating women's perfumes soon after his clothing range became a hit. He christened the new product line 'Miss Dior', and it's been lifting the hearts and spirits of women ever since. The very first Miss Dior perfume was primarily green chypre (think moss and earthy scents) in tone. Since that original perfume, Christian Dior has produced a bewildering array of fragrances, often in collaboration with other designers and artists. Some of these have stayed under the Miss Dior line, but the fashion house also produces other perfume lines, such as Addict and Poison.

Miss Dior – also known as Miss Dior Originale to distinguish it from other Miss Dior scents – is a tribute to that original Dior scent. Given that tastes change over the decades, returning to the exact original recipe probably seemed unwise. Instead, this fragrance contains exotic notes like galbanum (an aromatic resin from the Middle East) and the classic centifolia rose from Grasse in the French Riviera, as well as more common ingredients like jasmine and patchouli oil.

Absolutely Blooming

This fragrance is a sweet floral concoction with berry notes evening out the Grasse rose and white musk, most suited for an evening out on the town.

Blooming Bouquet

Dior has created a lovely light perfume for daytime use, with bergamot for a slight tang and Damascus rose for a spicy floral note. White musk softens and relaxes the overall impression.

Perfume types

Dior produce two types of perfume: eau de toilette (EDT) and eau de parfum (EDP). You'll generally find that an eau de parfum lasts longer on the skin than an eau de toilette, and can be more intense at first application. This is because eau de parfums contain a higher concentration of fragrance oils, and less alcohol, than eau de toilettes.
