History of the Nike MD Runner
Nike first released the MD Runner back in the '90s to offer both style and comfort to its many wearers. It follows the traditional and straightforward design of a classic casual training shoe.
Designed as a lightweight casual trainer, the Nike MD runner has evolved a couple of times with the MD Runner 2 and the MD Runner 2 LW release. The latter model is even more lightweight, with its upper made from nylon material with suede overlays.
Prominent features of the Nike MD
Nike MD runners have a lightweight mesh upper with suede overlays primarily around the toe, heel and laces. These give the shoe greater durability. The mesh upper also adds to the breathability of the shoe to keep your feet nice and cool.
They have an outer sole made from rubber with a waffle pattern to give you a better grip on slippery and uneven surfaces. The outer sole is also flexible. This gives you added comfort, especially if you're wearing them all day. For added comfort, Nike has included a padded heel collar and tongue.
A great casual sneaker, they’re available in primary colours of black, white, blue and grey and colour combinations including two or three of these. The MD Runner 2 also features a foam midsole to give your feet the cushioning that they need when you're out and about on your feet all day long.
