A Funky Collaboration: Nike SB Dunk Low x Crenshaw Skate Club Beige

The Nike SB Dunk Low was released in August 2023, and was inspired by the Crenshaw Skate Club. It features a classic low-top silhouette of the SB Dunk in a palette that combines light blue, Cedar, and Sail. This shoe was co-designed by CSC founder Tobias McIntosh and has a retro vibe. The beige suede uppers of this pair are sliced with fractured Swooshes and grip tape-print panels that have been scuffed. Taking cues from the historic Crenshaw Square sign, the shoe features a Sail foundation with overlays of cracked leather. Its distinctive colouring pays homage to the neighbourhood's skating community and culture. Their earthy colour scheme and collaborative nature distinguish this pair from previous SB Dunk offerings. The mismatched Nike and CSC logo on each tongue tag and rear tab gives the design a distinctive element. An image that seems like it belongs in a daycare centre is tucked into the tongue and is replicated beneath the translucent, slightly blue-tinted rubber outsole. There are light blue Swoosh emblems on both sides of the sneaker. Finally, the label's origins are commemorated with a fun logo at the sole.
