Pioneer Home Theatre System

Pioneer is one of the biggest names in home theatre, and has built audio equipment since 1938. Pioneer’s systems are often recommended as entry points into the world of home cinema, and the company also offers higher-end equipment for more luxurious setups.

Why Home Theatre?

Pioneer home theatre systems are designed to recreate the cinema experience in your own home. A typical home theatre setup will consist of a large-screen television or projector, a DVD or Blu-ray player and a surround sound setup. The surround sound and large screen provide a more immersive experience than can be achieved from a single screen and speaker, making it an excellent option for movie buffs and audiophiles.

Surround Sound

Pioneer 5.1 channel home theatre systems allow users to enjoy immersive surround sound. The 5.1 channel setup is the most common surround sound configuration, and is supported by most DVD and Blu-ray releases. It consists of a 5.1 channel AV receiver, a centre channel, left and right front speakers, a pair of surround speakers that sit behind the listeners and a subwoofer that handles the low-frequency sounds only. Surround sound system speakers come in a variety of sizes, from compact bookshelf speakers to taller floor-standing models. For increased immersion, Pioneer also provides add-on speakers that can be used to upgrade a 5.1 channel system to Dolby Atmos audio.

DVD Players

No Pioneer home theatre system is complete without a way to play films. Unless you plan to keep your movie collection entirely digital, a Pioneer DVD home theatre system is the obvious solution. Modern DVD players support Blu-ray formats as well as DVDs and audio CDs, so you can still enjoy your entire collection.

Sound Bars

If space is too tight to fit a full surround sound system, a soundbar can provide great audio quality for your home theatre setup while taking up a lot less room. Pioneer sells a range of sound bars at a variety of power requirements. A high-quality sound bar can provide a huge audio upgrade over a television’s built-in speakers. Many are designed to provide virtual sound, mimicking the surround sound experience without the same space or equipment requirements.
