Want to enjoy delicious fresh juice that's packed with all the healthy nutrients your body craves? A slow press juicer from eBay will quickly become your favourite kitchen appliance. Check out quality juicer brands like Tefal, Flora, Omega, Juicepresso and 5 Star Chef. You will find masticating juicers in a huge range of colours and designs to blend in with the rest of your kitchen.

How do they work?

Unlike conventional juicers that use a blade, cold press juicers operate by crushing and squeezing fruit and vegetables to gently extract nutritious vitamins, minerals and other 'living properties' of the produce, without relying on heat or friction. The cold press method is widely regarded as a healthier alternative to centrifugal juicing. These machines automatically separate juice and pulp.

Important features

The approximate dimensions of a standard slow press juicer are 23cm x 15cm x 49cm, with a cable length of around 140cm. The product will weigh around 6kg. While not all slow press juicers are built the same, these appliances mostly share similar technology and capabilities. Ideally your machine will feature a stainless steel body, slow speed mechanism for lower noise, a rotating brush to reduce foam and improve taste, durable food grade materials, a powerful 150W to 400W motor to help produce large quantities of juice, a reverse function to eliminate frustrating clogging, and non-slip feet to ensure stability during operation. The common parts in any cold press juicer include the spinning brush, fine mesh strainer, juicer outlet cap and pusher.

Cleaning the machine

It is relatively easy to clean a standard slow press juicer by rinsing out with water when changing from one fruit or vegetable to another. The parts are generally dishwasher safe, but make sure you read the user manual to learn more about looking after your machine and using it safely.
