Trainer-Item Pokémon TCG Individual Collectable Card Game Cards Full Art

Take Your Collection To The Next Level With These Full Art Trainer Cards

Full art trainer cards are a variant of the original Pokemon cards found in the Pokemon Trading Card game. They feature beautiful and colourful artwork that takes up the entire card.

These cards were first introduced in the Black & White expansion pack. Originally, English booster boxes would contain two of these full art cards. This relates to one full art card per 18 packs.

Most of the full art cards were reprints of Pokemon Ex cards, Pokemon Gx cards and Pokemon V cards. Additionally, all Pokemon VMAX cards are full art cards.

What was the first full art trainer card that was released?

The first full art trainer card was Nobles Victories from the Black & White Series.

How can you identify a full art card?

To identify a full art card, look for cards that have the artwork covering the entire card without any borders or backgrounds. The text and energy requirements are printed directly onto the artwork.  You’ll also find that these cards feature a textured font starting from the Pokemon X and Y expansion sets.

Were full art cards only available in expansion packs?

Many full arts cards could be obtained from Pokemon card packs. However, there were some that were only available as part of special limited-edition collections. If collectors purchased a ‘premium collection’ box, they were almost certain of finding at least one full art card in the pack.

Of course, these days, it’s easier to pick up these cards from resellers.
